Cross-layer thinking
Connect interface behavior, service contracts, and data models into one coherent product.
About · Atlanta, Georgia
I’m an entry-level software engineer who enjoys building practical software that connects backend systems, mobile experiences, and clear product thinking.
Professional story
My Georgia State University education in Computer Information Systems gave me a strong foundation in both business context and technical execution.
I learned to think beyond isolated code: who needs the system, what information it manages, where failure matters, and how a team can deliver it responsibly. That perspective now informs my work across mobile interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud-oriented application development.
I enjoy building software that solves practical problems, and I’m continuing to grow by working on projects that strengthen my backend, mobile, and product-development skills while staying grounded in real user needs.
I’m looking for a first software engineering role where I can contribute, keep learning quickly, and grow with a team.
Technical strengths
Strength is not just knowing a framework. It is knowing how to reason through a product and make good engineering decisions at each boundary.
Connect interface behavior, service contracts, and data models into one coherent product.
Favor clear boundaries, useful validation, and maintainable implementation over unnecessary complexity.
Break unfamiliar problems into smaller parts, learn the domain quickly, and move forward from evidence.

Development approach
Start with the user, workflow, constraints, and definition of a useful outcome.
Shape interfaces, data models, and service contracts before implementation details sprawl.
Keep names, modules, and responsibilities clear enough for the next developer—including future John.
Test behavior, error states, accessibility, and production delivery—not only the happy path.
Current direction
Seeking entry-level software engineering, application, mobile, backend, and full-stack opportunities with teams that value thoughtful work and steady learning.
